====== installation instruction ====== ----- Measuring Mail Monitor 1.0 ----- 1. is the java runtime environment not available on your system -> download and install the latest version of the JRE from java.com or java.sun.com, the application require min. version 1.6 2. download the latest version of JavaMail, use the link: java.sun.com/products/javamail/downloads/index.html extract the zip archive and copy the file "mail.jar" to the "lib/ext" folder of the JRE installation path e.g. on windows "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\lib\ext" 3. download the Java Communications API for severals platforms from java.sun.com (except windows) or rxtx.org (rxtx-2.0-7pre1) and follow the installation instruction alternative variant (only windows user): download the file "mpbild.de/projects/software/javacomm20-win32.zip" unzip this file copy the file "comm.jar" to the "lib\ext" folder of the JRE installation path copy the file "java.comm.properties" to the "lib" folder of the JRE installation path copy the file "win32com.dll" to the "bin" folder of the JRE installation path 4. connect the data logging interface with a USB-Port, the operating system will install a virtual serial port automatical 5. download the file "mpbild.de/projects/software/MeasuringMonitor.jar" and store the file to a any place on your disc 6. the installation process is ready Start the application with a double click on the icon by the application JAR file.
